At the start of the Chinese New Year holiday period, I (along with a fellow blogger) made my way down to the Float @ Marina Bay to take a look at River Hongbao. This is an annual event, now in its 27th consecutive year, and one of its objectives is to 'promote the celebration of the Lunar New Year and the appreciation of its culture and traditions'.
There are a number of lanterns on display this year (which are lit up at night). The laterns are locally designed and handcrafted by Chinese craftsmen and feature some of the largest laterns ever designed for River Hongbao.
There is even a God of Wealth lantern.
They also had a fun fair for the children, and a variety of handicrafts and food stalls.
