Waitangi Day Celebrations

It was a rainy afternoon, but that didn't deter around 500 people (a mixture of Kiwis and other nationalities) who braved the rain to join the NZ Chamber of Commerce (Singapore) (or NZCC) as they held their Waitangi Day event at The Exchange.

Waitangi Day is New Zealand's national holiday, which falls annually on 6 February.

I didn't manage to take as many photos as I would have liked to, but here are the three that I managed to take.

As you can see there raffle tickets were being sold with proceeds going to Singapore Guide Dog Association for the Blind and Community Outreach Rugby Development Programme.  There were also New Zealand beer and wine available, and a band that played Kiwi music.

I made a donation to the Singapore Guide Dog Association for the Blind, and got this key chain.  Cute eh!

You can find photos taken by NZCC by clicking here.

All in all is was a great day (4 hours to be exact) of celebrating and networking,  meeting up with old friends and meeting new friends.

This is an annual event organised by NZCC.
