When I heard that a new cafe, Superhero Concept opened in Boat Quay I decided to check it out. Mention Marvels Comics or DC Comics and I'm nearly always there!
Upon entering the cafe, I wasn't quite sure if it was a cafe, retail or craft shop, but I'll refer to it as a cafe. When you enter the cafe, you are greeted with Spiderman, who appears to be scaling the side of a building.
I got greeted by two different people, and got shown where to sit by one of them. I then waited for someone to show me a menu, 2 minutes later and I had to wave somebody over who brought one over. You peruse over there limited Bento menu and then tick which one you want, they also have desserts and drinks.
This is what my lunch looked like when it came out. I ordered the 'Take Flight' meal, you can choose from either Salmon, Chicken or Prawn. The Salmon was nicely cooked, with a nice crispy skin, served with rice with egg (which was not so tasty), mushrooms and the Japanese sprinkles that you often see on their rice, serviced with slice apple and a jelly dessert..
They work with glue and hairdryers, so I found it a little, but not too distracting. If you can try to ignore the noise and the smell, then this will be an experience worth having.
They also have Thors' hammer, Iron-Man's helmet and Captain America's shield for you to pose and take photos with.
